easier than I thought!

today I created my first granny square, it only took a morning, in between running backwards and forwards to facilitate the demands of my 4 year old..I followed the instructions of crochetwithraymond and am really pleased with myself! Unfortunatly it is too big to match with the other squares I have made for a baby blanket I am creating as my first Project, also I realised I had missed a space so it was a bit lopsided.  But its strange because unlike knitting which I hated to unpick, I dont mind with crochet, it can be redone very quickly and is very satisying, so instead of Making Do and ignoring my errors I have been busily pulling things apart when there is the slightest mistake. This will no doubt wear thin but for now....Anyhow, I have decided that if I just loose a layer of the square, just do 2 rounds and then square it off it is smaller than the square I need it to match but I will just have to keep a look out for a way to edge it to fill it out a bit so it does match.....In the meantime I am going to do a few more!

Here's a few more crochety projects I would like to attempt:
Of course this blog has to feature Attic24 and Lucy's snow flake
Flower fridge magnets
Headband/ear warmer
A frothy button flower
A Cowl

So anyway tonight instead of hook hook hooking I designed (a bit late this year) the obligatory Calendars for Grandparents Aunts and Uncles.  Because I am Overseas I ordered them to be sent to my sister's house in the UK, but after I hit confirm the website defaulted to my old UK address!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr  So I;'ve just banged out a cross patch email.....  grump grump back.  But that little job just done I can return to a bit of hoooooking.  Yay.
